Scholars Summit; in the concept of Eskişehir, the Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2013, is an event of searching and spreading the ideas and ideals of intellectuals who established our culture.

The Scholars Summit has the aim of discussing the intellectuals who born and raised in Turkic World; architects of our spiritual world i.e. wise mans, poets, intellectuals, sufis. By discussing such intellectuals, this summit has also the aim of getting together the representatives of various opinions; representatives of opinion leaders, academicians, artists, press members, religious functionaries, members of non-governmental organizations and politicians, thus exchanging ideas and illuminating the path for our future. In this respect, the Scholars Summit undertakes the mission of not only understanding our spiritual elders, but also constructing our future.

Some of the figures who can be selected as the paper subjects are; Kâşgarlı Mahmud, Yusuf Has Hacip, Edip A. Yüknekȋ, İmam-ı Azam, Ahmed Yesevi, Ali Şȋr Nevȃȋ, Ahi Evran, Abdulkadir Geylani, Şah-ı Nakşibend, E. Semerkandi, İmam Cafer-i Sadık, Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli, Sarı Saltuk, Seyyid Yahya Bakuvi, Yûnus Emre, Mevlȃna Celȃleddin-i Rȗmȋ, Nâbi, Aziz M. Hüdȃyȋ, Erzurumlu İ. Hakkı, Ebu’l Hasan Harakânî, Ahmed-i Hani, Mevlȃna H. Bağdȃdi, Said-i Nursi, İsmail Gaspıralı, Mehmet Akif, Aliya İ. Begoviç. (Intellectuals that are not listed here can also be selected as paper subjects.)

In the papers that will be presented during the summit, it is expected to negotiate those figures within their characteristics as; Ideas and philosophies; positive behaviors and living; contributions to construction of our nation and civilization; works on improving humanistic, moral and civil qualities; spreading mercy and leniency; love of God, love of humanity and love of all the creatures; adopting cooperation and solidarity; efforts for right and justice, peace efforts for humanity…

Papers should be presented in Turkic dialects including Turkey-Turkish; English and Russian. Travel and Accommodation expenses of participants will be paid by the governorship.
